Look, some people have said that I have a problem when it comes to lamps. I strongly object to this because you and I both know, that it is totally normal to have seven lamps - minimum - in a living room. I’m looking at the lamp situation objectively (and by objectively, I mean that I’m right about this).
I don’t see it as a problem that I keep buying more lamps either. On the kitchen bench, at the entry, outdoor portable lamps - I just can’t get enough of the personality they give a space. Not to mention loads of atmosphere and mood.
See, I told you I don’t have a problem - I am managing my lamp addition just fine.
And so that’s why I’m sharing my latest finds, specifically ceramic lamps. You see, I grew up in a ‘country style’ decorated home in the 80s and that meant lots of terracotta lamps. So these lamps are so homely and comforting. The way a fabric lamp shade glows just emits the lovelist, warmest light.

Emma Table Lamp from Danny Kaplan Studio. This studio is located in a Brooklyn studio where their skilled artisans also create large scale ceramic pieces such as furniture and vessels.
Elio Lamp by Jan Vogelpoel and Retro Print Revival. I adore the work that Jan Vogelpeol creates and what a clever collaboration! Turning a sculpture into a functional lamp is genius. Love these. They are made in Melbourne.

West Elm are a great go-to for affordable lamps, slightly more ‘grown-up’ than some Ikea lamps and yet a little ‘younger’ than Pottery Barn. The Diego Olivero Chamber ceramic table lamps start at $299.
