I don't want anything for Christmas, except...
A gift guide for your best friend, or for yourself.
My husband Phil asked me ‘What do you want for Christmas?’ to which I answered, ‘Oh, I don’t want anything.’
Five minutes later I had thoughts.
So here you go. A gift list for yourself because you freakin deserve it!
Or maybe your best friend, sister, Mum, Aunty etc.
Cushion
I saw this brand new range of cushions by Tali Roth and in true Tali-cool-girl style, these cushions are gorgeous. This one is called Goldie and it has a chunky bullion fringe. I love the patterned ones too.
Incense Holder
I love me a scented candle but I’m a bit over always spending $100+ on them. Plus and a friend gave me a pack of the Aesop incense and it’s a lovely change. This bronze incense holder by Studio Henry Wilson $120.

Striped Lamp
Truth be told, I have a problem with lamps - I love them, it’s bordering on obsession and one cannot have to many! This one by Coco Flip is stunning. It’s also clever because you can tilt the shade so you can direct the light to where you want it.
Ceramics
Look, I have a lot of shelf space to fill at home. I don’t think there is a limit to how many handmade ceramic pieces a person can have. I love the raw clay contrast with those thick glazes by FDO Studio from Pépite.

Silky Sleepwear.
I just love nice pjs, I’m a bit of a dag like that. These are made of ‘Vegan Silk’ which is actually viscose made from bamboo. They’re by Boody and I have to some of their underwear (I’m a basic b*tch) and I gotta say, the quality is pretty good. I’m also loving this Pantone Colour of the Year ‘Mocha Mousse’ pop up everywhere. They also come in a soft lemon called Pearl.
Shearling Slide
I’m a homebody and I like being comfortable. So I love these Australian made real shearling slide by Country Road.

Reusable Cup
Ok, ok. I know that a travel cup isn’t anything new. Believe me, I get a lot of use out of mine. BUT they don’t last forever. They start to leak and when you find yourself using an elastic band to stop the leak, it’s time to find a new one. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the Country Road Nico Reusable Cups are. Nice subtle colours too. I also bought the matching water bottle.
Square Tan Suede Faux Leather Phone Case
I’ve been eyeing off some of these cool phone cases for a while. They have the matching Phone Ring thing too.

Ceramic Platter
A one-of-a-kind handmade gift is something to treasure. These platters by Rina Bernabei from Pépite are $200 and absolutely STUNNING. Some people are just so talented and Irinia from Pépite manages to bring them all together.
Coloured Stem Wine Glasses
Look, you can never have too many wine glasses and I admit that I feel a bit posh pulling out the ‘special’ glasses when friends come over.

Garden Tool Set
Gardening but make it cute. I have found that popping in my airpods, donning a hat and digging into the weeds very soothing. Is it just me? How fun are these Kate Spade tools for the garden!
Kneeling Pad and Glove Set
I never thought I’d covet such a strange thing, but my knees get sore when I’m weeding the gaps between the concrete, ok?! Knee pad and matching gloves would be such a thrill to pull out of the Christmas stocking! Who even am I?!?

Coffee Table Book: Pierre Yovanovitch
I’m SUCH a fan of the use of shape, pattern and of course colour in spaces designed by Pierre Yovanovitch. This looks like a stunning book.
Coffee Table Book: Shamshiri: Interiors: Interior Architecture & Design
Clearly I need this book. If you’re a loyal Style Studies reader (thank you) then you will see I reference their work a lot. I don’t own this, yet.

Of course, I have to mention my own books, The New French Look and Beachside Modern. I’ll sign it for you and send it off asap!

Great Fiction: Sandwich
Want a beautiful, feel-good and laugh-out-load summer read? You will LOVE sandwich. I have read around 20 fiction books this year and Sandwich one really touched me.
Great Fiction: Tilda Is Visible
I loved how clever, original and funny this book about a women becoming invisible was. I’m sure it’s relatable to any woman over 50 and eye-opening to any women under.

I hope that the lead up to Christmas is a fun time and not too frantic!
Talk soon,
Lauren
Love the ideias, Lauren. Completely in love with the stripped lamp. ♥️
