Essential Styling Vessels for the Home
A few classic pieces that don't date, combined with something new and fresh
I’ve enjoyed seeing somewhat of a return in the way that homes are shown in the magazines, and I think social media has something to do with it. Spaces are shared on social media and there is no editor. So that means that there is a wider diversity in what we see.
Designers like Amber Lewis (kitchen project below) shows various objects displayed on kitchen shelves. This kitchen is meant to be lived in and that includes the clients bowls, cutting boards and the things that are used everyday are designed as a part of the kitchen. These pieces are not an after-thought that the client needs to figure out where to put these everyday items.
But of course, we keep it curated!
A statement vessel can elevate all of those kitchen things and make the collection look intentional.

These vessels add that layer to take a space from being lovely, to extraordinary. The extra pieces like vessels placed on the kitchen benchtop can really bring a space to life.

Stay tuned for more round-ups of favorite bedside tables, bar stools and beds that I’m working on over here.
I’m all ears if there is a topic you’d love to learn about here too.
